Rotary Scholarship and Grant Programs
The Rotary Club of Chicago - Financial District in coordination with Rotary District 6450 and Rotary International are honored to evaluate, recommend, and sponsor individuals for the following programs:
Youth Exchange
As a Rotary Youth Exchange student, you'll spend up to a year living with a few host families and attending school in a different country. Whether you participate in Rotary's long-term or short-term Youth Exchange programs, you'll learn a new way of living, a great deal about yourself, and maybe even a new language. You'll also be an ambassador, teaching people you meet about your country, culture, and ideas. You can help bring the world closer - and make some good friends in the process. More than 8,000 young people each year have experiences like these through Rotary Youth Exchange. It's the opportunity of a lifetime. Are you ready for it?

Group Study Exchange (GSE)
The Rotary Foundation's Group Study Exchange (GSE) program is a unique cultural and vocational exchange opportunity for businesspeople and professionals between the ages of 25 and 40 who are in the early stages of their careers. The program provides travel grants for teams to exchange visits in paired areas of different countries. For four to six weeks, team members experience the host country's culture and institutions, observe how their vocations are practiced abroad, develop personal and professional relationships, and exchange ideas.

Ambassadorial Scholar
The purpose of the Ambassadorial Scholarships program is to further international understanding and friendly relations among people of different countries and geographical areas. The program sponsors several types of scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students as well as for qualified professionals pursuing vocational studies. While abroad, scholars serve as goodwill ambassadors to the host country and give presentations about their homelands to Rotary clubs and other groups. Upon returning home, scholars share with Rotarians and others the experiences that led to a greater understanding of their host country.
